As announced at the recent New Zealand Defence Industry Awards Dinner in Wellington, TRT are winners of Category A; “The provision of excellent equipment to Defence”, in the 2015 Minister of Defence Awards of Excellence to Industry. TRT was nominated for this award by the New Zealand Defence Force for the design, manufacture and integration of the five Rows of 8 heavy equipment transport trailers TRT sold to Rheinmetall Man Military Vehicles Australia as part of their truck replacement programme for New Zealand Defence Force’s Medium-Heavy Operational Vehicle fleet. NZDF noted the ease of working with the whole team at TRT, our ability to understand their requirements and deliver a ‘fit-for-purpose’ trailer with increased mobility on and off road capable of carrying a wide range of equipment.
Accepting the award Bruce Carden said “TRT is proud to receive this recognition of our work on this project. Our team worked closely with NZDF and Army to produce an outcome that was good for their theatre of operations and will stand the test of time.”
